Through a new partnership with Top Level Design and their registrar, Porkbun, Grafia is able to offer Grafia members discounts on .design domain names.
.design offers an innovative, brandable and meaningful competitive advantage. Unlike .com, .org or .net, the recently added .design is the only top-level domain that explicitly identifies designers. Your web and email addresses can be as unique and creative as your designs. Imagine the power of www.YOURNAME.design.
As a Grafia member, you’ll get your first year of domain registration and email free at grafia.design, and 40% off annual domain renewal as long as you’re an active member of Grafia!

Design, in its broadest sense, is the enabler of the digital era – it’s a process that creates order out of chaos, that renders technology usable to business. Design means being good, not just looking good.

//3877 is a design firm that primarily works in architecture, but they also offer interior design services along with brand development and graphic design. Their style? Clean and contemporary. As for why they switched to .design? “Because it talked more about our brand. We don’t want to be a mainstream firm… .design says that we are a bit different and we are okay with that,” said David Shove-Brow, Partner at //3877.
“It speaks more directly to who we are and what we do. .com, .net, etc are too generic … we don’t need to be in the same mix as lawyers, accountants and other businesses … we want to go after a more direct audience.”
-DAVID SHOVE-BROW, 3877.DESIGN

The company had struggled finding the right domain name: “at the early stages we had unwisely chosen transomco.com, which led to confusion regarding our name.” Now they’re the happy owners of transom.design. Their favorite thing about the domain? “Clarity. It says who we are and what we do.” Watch the .design founder series: transom.design here.
“When I heard about the .design top-level domain it seemed the obvious choice to clarify both what we do and our name.”
